Department of PsychologyPsychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior. An undergraduate degree in psychology enhances career opportunities in many fields, and a graduate degree will prepare students for professional careers in psychology. CSU Psychology majors can work toward the Students also have the opportunity to participate in CSU’s pre-medical program as preparation for application to medical school. Our faculty represent a diversity of psychology’s specializations including clinical, cognitive, developmental, social, evolutionary, personality, biological, and behavior analysis. The curriculum encompasses theoretical, empirical, and applied approaches. Students have opportunities to explore specialty areas, and internships and independent study are available to qualified students. We host a local chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, as well as our own Psychology Club. We invite you to consider Psychology for your major at CSU.
